TKO Gold has recently been awarded one of the top two places (TKO FM won the other one), in a recent independent poll as most listened to English radio stations on the Costa Blanca.

TKO Gold can be heard anywhere on the southern part of the Costa Blanca, between Santa Pola and Cabo Roig on 96.7 FM and is the main English radio station on the Costa Blanca for the retired population.

So, if you like to hear the golden oldies and the classics, just tune your radio into 96.7FM and 87.7FM.

The TKO Media Group is looking for fresh new DJ talent on the Costa Blanca to participate in DJ Idol!

If you are a budding DJ and looking to further your talent or even give it a go for the very first time, then DJ Idol is definitely something for you to participate in.

Over the course of 8 weeks you will be judged and mentored in every aspect of being a DJ and the winner of the competition will receive a brand new DJ Startup Kit complete with speakers, dual CD player combined mixer, microphone and headphones.

Hosted by TKO's Dennis Christian and judged by Chris Adams from the TKO Media Group, along with Andy Wrench from Zbedz, Graham Jordon from SKB Stylish Kitchens and bathrooms, and Julie Day from the Costa Blanca News Entertainment section.

So the next stage of The TKO DJ Idol commences! It’s now down to our final 4 competitors to present a show live on air with their mentors and for you to vote for the IDOL that you feel should win the complete DJ Start up kit courtesy of TKO and our proud sponsors Zbedz and SKB Stylish Kitchens & Bathrooms:

We can’t wait to hear the final 4 live on air over the next two weekends, so make sure you tune in to the shows, wake up bright and early, and then vote for your favorite either via the Website which will be open for voting from 12noon on Sunday 6th July until 12noon on Monday 7th July, or via text on the night of the final Monday 7th July. Text lines will open between 9pm till 11.30pm on the night of the final only. Any texts received before of after this time will not be counted!

The 4 judges will award 10 bonus votes each to the IDOL they feel should win, so if you disagree with them, make sure you get your voice heard and vote. During the final we will go live on air with our 4 finalists over the course of Suzy G’s Love Zone show, changed to accommodate DJ IDOL for one night only! Once again the finalists will present a 20 minute section with their mentors in the hopes they impress you.
