Hangover prevention
"Drink at least half a pint of milk before going out.  The milk helps to line the stomach and help to stop the irritating effects of the alcohol against the stomach lining.
Keith, Clifton, Nottingham, England."

"Don't drink on an empty stomach. Before you go out, have a meal that includes carbohydrates, such as pasta or rice, or fats. The food will help slow down the body's absorption of alcohol.
Jane, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England."

"To prevent a hangover, or to help prevent a hangover, as it really depends on a lot of things, like the type of drinks you're drinking, but usually, if I drink a pint of water just before going out and maybe half a pint half-way through the night, that's usually a good way to prevent hangovers.
Colin, Alvaston, Derby, England."

Hangover cures
"As far as hangover cures go, an excellent cure for a hangover, (apart from not indulging in any alcohol at all!!!), is to drink Lucozade sports drink first thing in the morning. I can't remember the exact reasons, something to do with putting the sugars and minerals back into the system. I read about it somewhere many years ago and it definitely works for me.
Regards.
Joe, Staines, Middlesex, England."

"A good cure for a hangover, is to try, wherever you can, to avoid any dark colour alcohol drinks, like brandy, whisky, port, red wine etc. It might not cure a hangover completely, because it all depends on how much alcohol you drink, but it usually helps me a lot.
Diane, Brough, East Yorkshire, England."

"A good hangover cure, is to eat an 'unhealthy' fatty breakfast and drink half a pint (a pint if you can) of orange juice, it's always worked for me.
Kev, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England."

"I've tried a few hangover cures, but I always find taking a couple of vitamin C tablets, the following morning is the best cure for a hangover.
Paul, North Shields, Tyne and Wear, England."

"Over the years, I've tried a lot of hangover cures, but the best of all hangover cures, is to drink at least half a pint of any sports drink the next morning, as it contains all the vitamins and minerals that you're body is gasping for !
Steve, Denton, Manchester, England."

"A good cure for a hangover, that always works for me, is to eat a couple of oranges, first thing in the morning.
Claire, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, England."

"One of the best cures for hangovers I've ever come across, is to drink at least a pint of water just before the drinking starts and even better, is to drink half a pint of water every couple of hours during the drinking, (I don't always manage that one, but when I do, it definitely helps the head in the morning!!!).
Hope this helps.
John, Barwell, Leicester, England."
